Backsolve Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026

Backsolve is a compound-interest and savings-goal calculator for iOS. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, and why.

What Backsolve itself collects

Nothing. Backsolve has no user accounts and no server backend of its own. Every number you enter — starting balance, contribution amount, target, interest rate, years — is used only to run a calculation on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere, stored remotely, or seen by us.

What our advertising partner collects

Backsolve is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect:

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. See Google's Privacy Policy and how AdMob uses data for details.

App Tracking Transparency

On first use, iOS may prompt you to allow or deny tracking (Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework). This choice controls whether your device's advertising identifier can be used to personalize ads across other apps and websites. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Consent for EEA / UK users

If you're located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Backsolve uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, as required by GDPR and UK data protection law. You can review or change this choice at any time from the app's Privacy & Legal menu.

Children's privacy

Backsolve is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
